Anthony Gaskins

With an MFA from Harvard and a BA from University of Utah, Mr. Gaskins arrives at Reach Academy with a unique sensibility toward the role of creativity and promise in educating young minds. Mr. Gaskin’s administration work experience involves having been Associate Dean of Admissions at Brentwood School (LA) and at The Buckley School (LA).  Mr. Gaskins’ teaching experience is largely at The Calhoun School (NYC) as a teacher of Humanities and Social Studies for students in Grades 5 through 8. At Calhoun, Mr. Gaskins was also the Boys of Color Affinity Coordinator and he sat on the Middle School Diversity Curriculum Development Committee. At Buckley, Mr. Gaskins was the Upper School Diversity Coordinator.

The creative side of Mr. Gaskins is reflected in his professional work as Adjunct Professor in Speech, Communications and Theatre Arts at Manhattan Community College. He has appeared on film and on the stage, and he fully believes that strong schools are steeped in strong culture — an area of expertise that drew him to Reach Academy for Young Men.
