Music Production and Songwriting: Finding Your Voice as an Artist (Grades: All)
Music is universal, and there is no right or wrong way to participate as a creator. If you are interested in beatmaking, poetry, production, recording, sound design, writing original hooks/verses, and how to bring a song to life, this is the class for you. No matter what genre you are into or your musical background, this course will provide a broad overview of the language that is recorded music. We will learn the materials that make up our favorite songs, the design of mainstream song structures, and how to find our voice as artists. By the end of our time together, I hope everyone in my sessions will have a body of work to build off of. We will work on our songs as a group. I am sure you will find inspiration in working with your peers. Making music is a joy that you can practice for life, all you have to do is start writing!
